tell your story. live in freedom.

"We can choose to throw stones, to stumble on them, to climb over them, or to build with them."

William Arthur Ward

Hi. I’m Megan Greenlaw. I’m glad you’re here.

My therapeutic lens is based largely on what I’ve experienced in my own life: We were designed for relationship, and that is where we experience our deepest harm and greatest healing. The therapeutic relationship is one of safety, trust, and care. In this space, we can explore areas of concern, current symptoms, and engage the stories that matter most to you. Topics engaged in our work may include:

  • Relationship difficulties (parent/child, marital, partner, co-worker)

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • Body image/Disordered eating

  • Trauma

  • Spiritual, psychological, physical and sexual abuse

  • Issues of faith, spirituality, and meaning

  • Parenting and family systems

  • Styles and patterns of relating

  • Loss, sadness, and grief

Services

We carry our stories like stones in our pockets, both smooth and rough. Often, our most painful stories weigh us down and impact the ways that we relate to ourselves and each other. In therapy, we can tell the stories of our past in the present, and set our future free.

  • I offer individual counseling sessions for children, adolescents, and adults both in person and online. Please see the contact page for more information on how to book a session.

  • I offer sessions for couples, parents and families both in person and telehealth. Please see the contact page for more information on how to book a session.

  • Therapeutic writing consists of writing a story of significant moments in your life. These stories often offer deep insight into relational patterns that impact the present. By writing, editing, and sharing these stories, we gain greater insight into the stories that shape and influence us. Therapeutic writing sessions can be booked for individuals or couples*. Please see the contact page for more information on how to book a session.

*all couples (partnered, married, parent/child) have patterns of relating — often formed in childhood — that impact their current relationship. By engaging one another’s stories together, couples can come to a deeper understanding of one another and their relational patterns.

  • We all experience times of transition and change, and these can cause disorientation, confusion and overwhelm. I offer short-term transition therapy that can help support you through changes such as: postpartum/new parent adjustment, issues in parenting, graduating high school or college, premarital/engagement, moving, changing jobs, separation/divorce. Please contact me for more information about transition therapy.

  • I currently partner with Jessica Young at Red House Chronicles in facilitating retreats that focus on exploration of our personal and collective stories. For more information and upcoming events, visit https://www.redhousechronicles.com/
